[ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, met with the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki on Thursday evening where they discussed the political updates and the security situation in Iraq.[/ltr]
[ltr]A statement by Nijaifi’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “The meeting was held in an Iftar banquet held by Nijaifi at his office in Baghdad where the two sides discussed the political updates and the escape of the prisoners from Taji and Abu Ghraib prisons.”[/ltr]
[ltr]“The two sides stressed the necessity of reducing the tensed statements,” the statement added.[/ltr]
[ltr]“They have also discussed the means of developing the relations amid the political blocs in addition to discussing some issues related to the legislative and executive sides,” the statement concluded.[/ltr]
