Basra/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi South Oil Company announced that talks were held with US Exxon
Mobil to develop two new small oilfield in the southern part of the country.
In a press conference, Director General Hayan Abdul Ghani added that the talks are "progressing results".
Iraq is conducting talks with Exxon Mobil and PetroChina oil companies to enhance production in several oil fields in Basra and Thi Qar provinces that will cost billions of dollars.
