Foreign Jordan: Syria was not invited to the Arab League summit

Said Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Sunday, not to invite Syria to attend the Arab League summit to be held in Jordan in the 23 of this month, in accordance with the decisions of the university.
For his part , Secretary - General pointed to the Arab League , Ahmed Aboul Gheit , who is visiting Amman in preparation for the Arab summit that the summit will focus on "Iranian interference in the region, and on the issue of the UAE islands occupied by Iran."

Aboul Gheit said during a press conference held on the eve of his visit to Amman, he will meet there monarch Jordan's King Abdullah II to brief him on the latest preparations for the summit and the topics on its agenda and discuss a number of important issues in the region.
Previously, a source familiar with Arab diplomat stressed that "Syria will not participate in the planned at the Dead Sea in Jordan later this month the Arab summit despite the presence of her seat and flag in the meeting rooms because of the outstanding membership."
