Since OPEC's announcement at the end of November, its members reached an agreement on reducing the total production of the Organization by 1.2 million barrels from 1 January 2017 for six months, until the effects of this agreement began to appear, especially as oil prices began to improve gradually.
According to reports from the Judy Foundation on the publication of oil data, the exports of nine OPEC members of crude oil fell by 3.9%, on a monthly basis.
The survey was based on figures from the Joint Oil Data Initiative (JUDI) released today, which showed exports of the nine countries fell to 20.197 million bpd in January, compared with 21.027 million bpd in December.
The nine countries with declining exports are: Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Nigeria, Angola, Algeria, Qatar and Ecuador.
The cut-off agreement, to which the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) has committed since January, has overshadowed member countries' exports.
According to Jodi data obtained from OPEC and the International Energy Agency, Saudi Arabia's crude oil exports fell by 3.8% on a monthly basis to 7.713 million bpd in January.
Iraq's exports fell by 4.1% to 3.882 million barrels per day, Iran by 6.4% to 2.200 million barrels per day, and Kuwait by 7.2% to 1.930 million barrels per day.
Angola's exports fell by 0.5% to 1.530 million barrels per day, Algeria by 21.9% to 507 thousand barrels per day, Qatar by 9.3% to 446 thousand barrels per day, and Ecuador by 5.9% to 382 thousand barrels per day.
Unlike other OPEC members, Nigeria's exports rose by 10.8 percent to 1.607 million barrels per day (bpd), compared with 1.450 million bpd in December.
An international organization established by a decision of oil producers around the world in the early nineties of the last century, aims to collect figures and statistics on oil production around the world and submit them in the form of studies that concern producers and consumers alike.
