He also said that six sites were searched and 7 people were detained in connection with the London attack. "Investigations are continuing and I will not disclose further details," he said.
On the other hand, the spokesman revealed that the final toll of the victims is 4 dead and 29 wounded, adding that "the dead and wounded belong to different nationalities."
British police carried out a raid on a house in the central city of Birmingham on Thursday morning and police declined to say whether the raid was linked to the public behavior at the heart of the British headquarters.
However, the British media, including the Press Association, quoted unnamed sources as saying that the operation was linked to the Westminster attack.
An armed man with a knife driving a four-wheeled vehicle trampled on Westminster Bridge before hitting the car in the gates of parliament on Wednesday.
British Defense Secretary Michael Fallon said the attack could be linked to Islamic extremism.
