In a scary preview to how tortuous the 2017 summer threatens to be, the mercury breached the 43-degree mark in at least four towns and cities.
In most cities across Gujarat, the temperature touched 43 degrees.
Deesa in Banaskantha was record-breaking hot at 43.4 degrees.
The hottest March day before this was in 2011 at 43 degrees.
State capital Gandhinagar seared at 43.2 degrees while Ahmedabad shrivelled at 42.8 degrees which was a seven-year high after mercury climbed to 43 degrees on March 21, 2010.
City holds all time record high temperature of 43.9 degrees on March 30, 1908.
"The IMD Gujarat has issued a warning of severe heatwave conditions at isolated places of north Gujarat region, Saurashtra-Kutch which will continue on Tuesday as well.
Heatwave conditions too will continue to prevail at isolated places of south Gujarat region and remaining parts of north Gujarat region," said director (forecasting) of India Meteorological Department (IMD) Gujarat, Manorama Mohanty.

Last summer saw thousands die in India from the heat which caused roads and cars to melt.

Tropical Cyclone Debbie is making landfall across the coast of northeast Australia, packing sustained winds of 185 kph (114 mph) with gusts reaching more than 262 kph (163 mph).
The storm is lashing the Queensland coast with torrential rain, bringing about a significant flooding risk, meteorologists said.
The Category 4 cyclone is the equivalent of a Category 3 hurricane and is very slow-moving.
"With the very, very strong winds if they just sit there and twirl, it's like a battering ram," Queensland police commissioner Ian Stewart told CNN affiliate 7 News.
It's already left a path of destruction through outlying islands.
"Scariest thing I've ever gone through," Sassha Kozachenko said on Instagram.
On Airlie Beach, detritus and debris could be seen hurtling through the air in videos posted on social media.

The storm already has ripped trees from the ground and brought significant rainfall to the region. Residents reported their apartments shaking and windows breaking.
Pristine beaches that were bright and sunny Monday were completely flooded Tuesday.
In the span of an hour, 211 millimeters (8 inches) of rain hit the area, Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said.
It was a once-in-a-hundred year event, she said.
"This is going to get worse," Palaszczuk told Nine News Queensland. Cyclone Debbie lashed the area between Bowen and Airlie Beach during the mid-afternoon with wind gusts up 270 kph (167 mph), according to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology.
Though authorities were seeking to evacuate 25,000 people in the lead-up to the storm, Palaszczuk told Sky News Australia, the time to leave is over.

"I need people and families to remain in place," Palaszczuk said.
The severe weather has already claimed the life of a 31-year-old woman after dangerous conditions were linked to a fatal car crash Monday near the town of Proserpine. Residents along the coast have been warned to expect storm surges up to four meters high.
Cyclone Debbie is the largest storm to hit Queensland since the Category 5 Cyclone Yasi in 2011, which ripped homes from their foundations and destroyed farmland.
Debbie could end up being as severe as Yasi, Palaszczuk warned.
John D Ginger, research director at the Cyclone Testing Station at James Cook University, said that coastal buildings were most at risk.
"Houses in low-lying coastal regions ... and [which] are subjected to storm surge will be vulnerable to significant damage," he said.
The timing of cyclone Debbie's expected landfall coincides with a 12-foot tide in Bowen, one of the highest tides of the year, according to 7 News.
"If you are in a storm surge zone and you are directed to leave -- you must leave.
You cannot shelter from a storm surge," Queensland police tweeted Monday.

Dozens of reptiles have mysteriously died inside a Tennessee zoo in less than a day in what officials are calling a "catastrophic loss."
Zoo Knoxville officials said 33 reptiles, mostly snakes, died inside one building between last Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.
The deaths, which are under investigation, do not appear to stem from disease but rather an unspecified "environmental cause," Zoo Knoxville President and CEO Lisa New said in a statement Sunday night.
"This is what we suspect and what we are pursuing, although we are still awaiting further necropsy results," New said.
The animals that died included three critically endangered species - the Louisiana pine snake, Catalina Island rattlesnake and Aruba Island rattlesnake, the zoo said.
"This is a devastating and catastrophic loss to our zoo," New said.
"These animals were important ambassadors who helped so many people understand the role snakes and lizards play in the balance of nature.
We also lost breeding programs for several endangered and threatened species.
It is especially difficult for our herpetologists who have dedicated their careers to caring for and advocating for these animals."
The zoo has more than 400 reptiles housed in four different buildings, zoo spokeswoman Tina Rolen said. The three other reptile facilities were not impacted.

Birth Pains and earthquakes in diverse places: The absolutely astonishing growth of major earthquakes in just one hundred years!
Posted: 27 Mar 2017 11:38 AM PDT
Matthew 24:7 states: For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven; this was written 2,000 years ago, by Luke the Evangelist who was quoting the warnings of Jesus Christ.
Famines, pestilence and fearful events are very much a part of our life these days and as for signs from heaven, last year we were blessed with blood Moons and Super Moons, Sun and moon eclipses, fire balls, comets just to name a few.
But it’s the earthquakes statistics which I find jaw-dropping, this century, from January the 1st in the year 2,000 until January 2017 a total of 2,697 major quakes have been recorded.
In the same period, January the 1st 1900 to January 1917 only 97 major quakes were recorded, that is an incredible increase and indicates our planet is showing signs of birth pains because just as a woman in labour suffers contractions of increasing pain and intensity likewise our planet is also suffering with increasing quake pain and intensity.
And with wars and rumours of wars it is safe to conclude Jesus’s warning and prophecy would place us somewhere in the last days.

The enormity of the difference in numbers is absolutely astounding seen on the year by year graphs below

Even taking technology into account the difference is astounding

In 2011, the year of the mag 9. Fukushima disaster in Japan our planet suffered 208 major quakes compared to 1911 when just 11 were recorded.

Strange: while mag 6 to 6.9 quakes have risen over one hundred years by as much as 450% earthquakes measured at mag 7 or higher have remained incredibly stable over the same period

Monster category 4 cyclone Debbie hits Queensland coast leaving thousands fleeing: Storm winds of up to 250km/h (155 mph).

Severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie (category 4) is located to the north northeast of Mackay.
The rotation and the eye of this system can be clearly seen in the impressive and extensive mass of cloud over the Coral Sea, which is also affecting parts of the east coast of Queensland.

Northeast Australia is bracing itself for the arrival of a "monster" cyclone expected to bring waves of up to 8m (26ft) to the Queensland coast.
Cyclone Debbie, which has been upgraded to a Category four storm, is carrying winds of up to 250km/h (155 mph).
Thousands of people have already been evacuated and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has urged residents to act immediately.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the emergency evacuation order was "probably the largest ever" for the northeastern state, and warned people to charge their phones as structural damage and power outages were likely.
"This is going to be a monster of a cyclone," Ms Palaszczuk said, adding that it would rival the devastating Cyclone Yasi in 2011.
About 10,000 people are believed to have already left their homes in the town of Mackay, and thousands more have evacuated their properties in low lying areas such as Bowen and Ayr, reports the BBC.

About 25,000 residents of Mackay have this afternoon been asked to leave ahead of predicted tidal surges, with fears low-lying areas will be inundated.
There are also fears parts of Bowen could be wiped.
Meteorologist Bruce Gunn said the “very destructive” core of the cyclone is expected to be about 100km wide.
He said the exact location and impact of the cyclone would become more precise as the system approached the coast.
