NATO foreign ministers decided on Friday to take military medicine lessons in Iraq and help maintain Iraqi armor.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg told a news briefing that "NATO has decided to tighten procedures inside Iraq, including training in military medicine, to train Iraqi doctors and help maintain tanks and armor."
Jens Stoltenberg announced earlier that the alliance had received a request from the Iraqi authorities to help strengthen the country's defense capabilities.
