    Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed the refusal to raise the flag of the Kurdistan region in the city of Kirkuk and said only raise the Iraqi national flag and that what happened is a big mistake and the Kurds are playing separatism.
    "Kirkuk is not for Kurds only, for Turks, for Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds and others," Erdogan said in a speech at a mass opening ceremony for some projects in the city of Reza.
    "It is wrong to raise a second flag in Kirkuk other than the Iraqi flag and to inform the owners of that knowledge that they are practicing secessionism," he said.
    "The lifting of any non-Iraqi flag in Kirkuk is unacceptable and the province is not for Kurds only." Pointing out that the Iraqi flag is the "national flag" in Iraq and everyone should stand under it and let those who wish to practice separatism know.
    Erdogan announced that Turkey is preparing for a new phase of operations in Syria after the end of Operation Euphrates Shield.
    The reactions in Turkey continued during the speech on the decision to raise the flag of the Kurdish regional administration in Iraq on government buildings in Kirkuk.
