Elias Nikitin, a Russian Muslim whose media portrayed him as the prime suspect in the St. Petersburg metro bombing, said he himself went to the police to clear him up.
Elias justified his rush to go to the police to assert his innocence, saying he was "not only responsible for himself but also for the nation of Muhammad."
The explosion in Petersburg killed 10 people and wounded 50, while Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russian President Vladimir Putin was in St. Petersburg before the blast.
