    Gold-Dollar

    Information / Baghdad ..

Gold settled, Tuesday, supported by geopolitical tensions over North Korea after it fell from its highest level in five months in the previous session due to the high dollar.

By 0730 GMT, gold has not seen a mention in online transactions to settle at $ 1284.56 an ounce after rising to $ 1295.42 in the previous session, the highest level since the ninth of November, a change.

Gold fell in the US futures contracts 0.5 percent to $ 1285.90.

And re-Mike Pence, US Vice President to reassure Japan's commitment to Washington to curb its nuclear ambitions and missile North Korea on Tuesday after he warned that US strikes in Syria and Afghanistan reveal the strength of his country's determination.

The dollar rose after the US Treasury Secretary said he believes that the US currency's strength in the long term is positive, despite its agreement with the president's view Donald Trump that it hurts exports in the short term.

Silver rose 0.1 percent in spot trading to $ 18.40 an ounce after it reached the highest level in five months at $ 18.649 in the previous session.
