South Korea announces the development of an anti-artillery radar

Reinforcement body announced by the South Korean Defense Ministry , the army now has a mobile radar can detect artillery shells at the North Korean army.
The authority said in a statement, said the new defense system was developed over six years, as it began to work since 2011, and cost about $ 50 million, and during the tests conducted on the radar last April, proved highly efficient, and it has become ready for use in combat missions.
According to the statement, the new defense system aims to get rid of the long - range artillery threats possessed by North Korea , which can target the South Korean capital easily, the new Swedish - made radar produced by the company "SAP" basically competent in the automotive industry.
In a related context, North Korea had threatened to conduct a military operation to re-unification of North and South Korea said that the United States did not stop provocations.
