    North Korea has threatened to sink the US aircraft carrier Carl Vinson Strike Group, which is supposed to take part in military exercises with two Japanese destroyers near the Philippine coast of the western Pacific Ocean.
    "Pyongyang is ready to show its military power by docking a nuclear aircraft carrier with one blow," Rodong Sinmun, a North Korean government newspaper, said in reference to the aircraft carrier Carl Vinson.
    North Korea has weapons that "can reach the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region," the paper said, citing "Pyongyang's absolute weapon of nuclear (nuclear) bombs," US media reported on Monday.
