Russia: US missile strike in Syria has threatened our forces
Follow-up / .. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, announced Wednesday that a US missile strike on the Syrian air base this month formed a threat to Russian troops and Moscow was forced to take additional measures to protect these forces.
Said Sergei during a security conference in Moscow that "the strike, carried out by Washington in response to what it said was a deadly chemical attack launched by the Syrian government forces, in flagrant violation of international law."
US officials said at the time that they told the Russian troops ordered the strike. Any Russian soldier was hurt in the attack.
According to satellite images taken that the Syrian base that includes targeted missile strike by the Syrian army special forces fighter planes and Russian helicopters under military aid provided by the Kremlin to the Syrian government to fight the organization "Daesh" and other militant groups.
He added that Shoigu "shaped Washington's move a threat to the lives of our soldiers who are fighting terrorism in Syria."
He added that "such steps compel us to take additional measures to ensure the safety of Russian troops" but did not specify the nature of these procedures.
