MP demands Kurdistan to "disclose the agreements held by the region with the Kuwaiti delegation".

    BAGHDAD
/ NINA / The MP, Alia Nassif demanded the authority of the Kurdistan
region to "detect conventions held by the region with the Kuwaiti
delegation, which recently visited the region, if it is really a part of
    Iraq."

She explained, in a press statement: "Some of the media
talked about three agreements between Kuwait and the Kurdistan region
that the Iraqi government has not been informed. The first agreement is
on oil investment and the second on residential investment and the third
    on business investment."

She added: "The region should inform
the central government about the terms of these agreements, if they
really had been concluded with the Kuwaiti side. If there is no existent
to these agreements, we hope an official denial should be announced,"
pointing out that "the Kurdistan's silence could be interpreted that
these agreements had already been held between the Kurds and the
    Kuwaitis."

She noted: "there is a worry that Kurdistan may cause a
problem be worse and more dangerous than the problem of its contract
with Exxon Mobil without the consent of the Iraqi government, especially
since there are many outstanding issues between Iraq and Kuwait have
not yet been resolved." / End
