    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, confirmed the need of Iraq to the US support in combating terrorism.Zebari stated during a joint press conference with his US Counterpart, John Kerry, in Washington that ”We need the support from the United States of America in the fields of security and combating terrorism as well as in building the Iraqi security forces in order to eliminate the terrorist organizations in the Middle East area.””Iraq has an independent stance from the Syrian crisis, ” he added, pointing out that ”There are armed militias encouraging young people to volunteer to fight in Syria, though, we assure that the Iraqi Government is not responsible for this recruitment,” he concluded. \END\

    Kerry expresses its consent to hold a meeting between Zebari, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey






    BAGHDAD - Iraq Press - August 16: The U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday agreed on a plan put forward by Zebari on the convening of a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Davutoglu in the near future to discuss issues of common concern.

    He expressed in his meeting with Zebari welcomed the United States what he called the progress "made by Iraq in recent times, saying that there are important things being achieved."

    He described Kerry during a meeting of the Joint Coordination for Political Affairs and diplomatic relations between the United States and Iraq for a bilateral meeting with his Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said he was "very good, pointing out that he discussed the challenges facing Iraq and the importance of Iraq and its relationship with the United States."

    He added that "Iraq has taken since the previous meeting of the committee last September a number of diplomatic steps brilliant .. Significant progress has been made, "but did not elaborate on what these steps are and what concerning the affairs of Iraq or Syria and Iran.

    Kerry welcomed the internal political process pursued by Iraq during the past months, but he called on everyone to "avoid mistakes, adding that we know that there is a very significant challenges still exist and we must face together."

    He stressed that Iraq is sitting at "the intersection of regional business streams troubled and violent and unexpected increasingly .. The rule, as we have seen has launched a series of horrific attacks on innocent Iraqis. Al-Qaeda and this extends beyond the borders of Iraq and we know that. "

    He said in light of "the involvement of many of the leaders of al-Qaeda working now in Syria, we all need to accelerate action in order to create the appropriate conditions for a diplomatic settlement to the Syrian crisis."

    He expressed hope discussed his case "of weapons flowing from the Syrian conflict to Iraq for use against Iraqi weapons that flow through Iraq toward Syria."

    He pointed out that "the ongoing efforts of Iran and Hezbollah guerrillas in order to try serious fueling conflict in the region will also be discussed." Ended

    They should of thought about the future a little more when they refused to give our troops immunity. Good old hindsight.
