The Klyuchevskoy volcano on the Far Eastern Kamchatka Peninsula has spewed ash 6,000 meters into the air and tours to the area have been cancelled, the Emergencies Ministry's local department said.
"In the morning of May 18, according to the image data of the Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Response Team (KVERT), a column of ash was registered above the Klyuchevskoy volcano.
The ash was spewed 6,000 meters.
The volcano is 4,750 meters high," the press service said.
The aviation color code has been raised to orange.
The ash covered the areas located 72 kilometers north-east of the volcano.
There are no settlements in the area.
The ash has not been spotted in the villages and towns of the Kamchatka region.
No international routes lie in this area.
The Klyuchevskoy (Klyuchevskaya Sopka) is the highest active volcano in Eurasia.
The volcano is approximately 7,000 years old.
Its last eruption was registered on August 15, 2013.
There are currently four active volcanoes on the territory of the Russian Far Eastern Kamchatka region - Klyuchevskoy, Shiveluch, Bezymyanny, and Karymsky.

The last few days have seen a spike in volcano activity around the Northern Hemisphere with the Klyuchevskoy volcano and the Shiveluch volcano erupting in Russia along with the
Bogoslof Volcano in the State of Alaska, USA, erupting ash 35,000 feet into the air along with Mount St. Helens, also of the US showing signs of activity.
Sakura-Jima Volcano Kagoshima Prefecture spewing ash 2.5 km's into the sky of Japan and topping off the list, the Turrialba Volcano Province of Cartago, Costa Rica also erupting along with it's neighbor Poas Volcano showing signs of activity.

Earth is being bombarded at the moment by solar wind at speeds of nearly 700 km/s from a massive Coronal hole on our Sun facing Earth, which is though to influence volcanic activity and large quakes.

Mount St. Helens considered the most destructive volcanic eruption in U.S. history in 1982 showing signs of "recharging!"

With well over 100 earthquakes detected on Mount St. Helens since early April, things are getting a little rumbly up there.
The earthquakes are likely a sign of the volcano "recharging," as magma moves beneath it again, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Coincidentally, yesterday marked 37 years since the mountain blew its top, sending ash 80,000 feet in the air and destroying a swath of the landscape 23 miles wide and 19 miles long with a combination of the blast, landslide and volcanic mud flows (lahars).
The eruption killed 57 people and is considered the most destructive volcanic eruption in U.S. history.
But fear not, as the earthquakes have come to be almost common since the mountain began its recharging process back in 2008, with swarms detected regularly.

Turrialba Volcano had a new eruption this Friday, May 19, breaking its period of "relative calm". Although both eruptions are considered small, they are a reminder of the fact that this volcano continues with high activity and precautions and security measures should be taken seriously.
The eruptions from the Turrialba volcano usually contain ash, yet, because of the rainfall that has affected the country these past few days it has not been dispersed as far as it usually does.
The column reached 500 meters over the crater.
During the past 24 hours the low amplitude tremor that had been reported in the past weeks has increased to moderate and has remained continuous.
Poas Volcano, is emanating a constant column of water vapors and gases that is visible from different points of the central valley.
The park remains closed to visitors for security reasons.
The closure of this National Park represents a big loss of income for the National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC)since it is the second most visited National Park in Costa Rica According to data provided by SINAC, the park is visited by an average 20,531 national tourists every month and 17,345 foreigners, this translates into close to $260,000.00 a month.

Sakura-Jima Volcano, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan exploding ash and steam 2 to 3 times a day approx. 2,500 km high

Since its re-awakening in late March, the Sakura-Jima Volcano, Kagoshima Prefecture, shows the Volcano is erupting once again frequently.
More details volcano seems to be back in its typical activity of intermittent small to moderate vulcanian explosions at rates of typically 2-3 per day.
It also seems that since late April, it has picked up again to levels similar as during much of 2013-15, with sometimes larger explosions that generate tall ash plumes of up to 4-5 km height.
Most of the explosions come from the younger Showa crater on the upper eastern flank, although some also occur from the older summit vent Minamidake.
During the past days, 2-3 explosions have occurred each day, with ash plumes that rose to between 5,000 and 13,000 ft (1,500-4,000 m) altitude, i.e. ranging from a few hundreds to approx. 2,500 km. This activity has has been characteristic of the volcano for most of the past years, with an unusual pause during late July 2016 and March this year.

Massive Coronal Hole now facing Earth ejecting solar wind expected to reach 700 + km/s resembles serpent attacking a person

A massive Coronal hole has opened up on the Sun and is facing Earth, it is ejecting solar solar wind which NOAA forecasters expect to reach speeds of 700 + kilometers per second which is expected to reach our magnetosphere sometime later today.

The Coronal hole is massive and covers much of the facing Sun and for those of us who have a healthy imagination resembles a serpent attacking a person…

The Coronal hole will impress our planet with beautiful aurora’s but may also influence large quakes and volcano activity, SEE BELOW.
