BAGHDAD / NINA / MP, of the Iraqiya al-Hurra coalition, Alia Nassif said that the insistence of the Presidency of the Council of Representatives to vote on the Convention on the Regulation of navigation in (Khor Abdullah) is a gift given to Kuwait without charge.

She explained in a statement of the press Office of the coalition: "The Presidency of the parliament insisted to vote on the Convention on the Regulation of navigation in Khor Abdullah, despite collecting signatures of more than 80 MPs demanding to transfer it. Eventually it passed the Convention to be a gift provided by the Presidency of the parliament to neighboring Kuwait in spite of its stand against Iraq people during the economic blockade and destruction of the infrastructure in Iraq in 2003. "

She added: "passing the Convention is added to a series of illegally gains obtained by Kuwait from Iraq and at the expense of the Iraqi people, such as access to large parts of Umm Qasr and the Iraqi oil fields obtained by Kuwait before." / end
