Iraqi company plans exporting sugar to Syrian Kurds

Babel/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi food industry company here disclosed plans to sell and export 70.000 tons of sugar to the Kurds in the northern part of Syria, as well as other Iraqi neighboring countries.
The factory of the company is expecting to increase its sugar production capacity to reach 5-6 thousand tons daily.
The current production capacity of the factory reached three thousand tons, all for the Iraqi local markets.
Last year, Iraqi trade ministry bought 56% of its sugar needs from the company, while the ministry used to buy 80% of its needs, but the company compensated this decline through other vents in the Iraqi market, particularly for sweets factories and other drinks.
