European organization mediates for reconciliation conference

Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Ambiguity covers some Sunni elements' participation in conferences patronized by European organizations, that resulted in various "gossips".
Internal Sunni sources reported that the European Institute of Peace will send a delegation to hold talks with Premier Haidar al-Ibadi to get his approval for holding a national reconciliation conference after holy Ramadan month.
Before ten days, Sunni quarters held a meeting in Brussels to discuss the preparations for post-Da'ish (ISIS) era, which was attended by US officials and representatives of the European Union.
On 23 May, 2017, preparations were made in Baghdad for the reconciliation conference, with the expectation of the participation of legally wanted personalities, including some elements of the ex-Baath Party.
Other sources reported that there are US pressures on the Iraqi government for the participation of legally wanted personalities.
Last March, 2017, another conference was held in Ankara for two days, where 25 political, tribal personalities and businessmen from the Sunni sect took part that ended in selecting Parliament Speaker Saleem al-Jbouri as a rotative chairman for
