Putin joked: Trump will be responsible for the bad weather in Moscow!

MOSCOW, June 2 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin called on President Vladimir Putin not to make a fuss about US President Donald Trump's decision to come out of the Paris Convention on Climate Change, saying, "From now on we can take responsibility for everything, in Moscow!".
"Russia will not ratify the Paris Convention to address climate change unless the obligations of all the participants in the Convention are clearly defined, the rules for the division of resources are clarified and other technical issues are clarified," Putin said during his participation in the plenary session of the Petersburg International Economic Forum.
"There is no longer any need for the United States to withdraw from the agreement because of its framework nature and the possibility of continuing negotiations on it," Putin said, but called for "to refrain from condemning the US president for this step."
"We have to be thankful for Trump. From now on we can take responsibility for everything, even the bad weather in Moscow!" He said jokingly.
Putin recalled that the Paris Climate Convention had not yet entered into force and would come into effect in 2021. He noted that there was still enough time to reach an agreement, provided that work continued in a constructive manner.
According to Putin, Washington has committed itself under the Paris agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 26-28% by 2025. Russia has committed to reduce emissions by 2030 by 30% compared with the 1990 level.
