Iran's Revolutionary Guards vowed to retaliate against the attackers, who on Wednesday killed 12 people and accused Saudi Arabia of being behind them.
"There is no doubt that we will take revenge today on Tehran's terrorists, their partners and their supporters," said Brigadier General Hussein Salami, deputy head of the Revolutionary Guards.
Salami said that the Revolutionary Guard "has proved in the past that he will avenge the blood of all innocent people."
Salami accused the Saudi authorities of being behind the operation, which hit the Iranian capital and declared the organization "calling" the terrorist responsible for it.

The important point is that the members of the Shura Council were holding a public meeting, where the meeting was not affected throughout the period of clashes that occurred near the meeting hall.
In addition to this attack, two terrorist elements stormed the shrine of Khomeini (south of the capital) and wanted the gatekeeper dead while the security forces intervened immediately and eliminated the two elements.
The fact that this terrorist attack took place a week after the meeting between the US president and the leaders of the reactionary countries in the region, which continues to support Takfiri terrorism, has great meanings, and the adoption of the responsibility for this attack illustrates their role in this heinous act.
