US Senate approves new sanctions against Russia

approved by the US Senate voted overwhelmingly to impose new sanctions against Russia over its alleged involvement in the US presidential election.
According to "Reuters", the 97 members supported the legislation presented to the Council as an amendment to a draft law to impose sanctions on Iran . Opposed legislation only two members.
Said Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen , one of Almetzaman to approve the law "today faced (Council) Senate finally Russia on meddling in our elections, the amendment passed by the two parties is the sanctions regime deserves the Kremlin for his actions."

The legislation aims to punish Russia , inter alia, the alleged interference in the US presidential election last year included the Crimea from Ukraine and the support of the Syrian government in the war, and the need for approval by the House of Representatives and the president 's signature to become legally effective.
