Qatar tells America it will keep its LNG exports stable

Qatar's finance minister told US Treasury Secretary Stephen Menuchin during a visit to Washington last week that Doha was committed to keeping its liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports stable in the global energy market, a Qatari government liaison office said in a statement.
The two ministers discussed Qatar's efforts to combat "terrorist financing" and Doha's commitment to maintaining its export stability to the global energy market, the statement said.
Sanctions imposed by Arab countries, led by Saudi Arabia, on Qatar, the world's biggest exporter of liquefied natural gas, raised concerns about Gulf energy production two weeks ago, but officials said Qatar's liquefied natural gas exports were unaffected.
