Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz on Wednesday appointed a new interior minister, Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz al Saud, to succeed his uncle Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, who has held the post since 2012.
The new minister is 34 years old. Born in 1983, he is one of the youngest interior ministers in the history of the kingdom. He is married and has sons [Nayef, Ahmad, Saud and Muhammad].
Prince Abdulaziz graduated from the Dhahran Private Schools in the administrative section.
He worked for several years in the private sector and was commissioned by King Salman after he took power in Saudi Arabia in early 2015. He served as an adviser to the Royal Court, where he worked for the administration of rights and then in the management of the systems.
And then worked for six months in the Political Division, and then worked as an adviser in the Office of the Minister of Defense Mohammed bin Salman, to issue a royal order in May last year by appointing an adviser to the Minister of the Interior, which moved from Wednesday to the post of Minister.
Abdulaziz bin Saud did not appear in the media much, but he was keen to participate in the reception of foreign delegations that visited Saudi Arabia during the past year.
