Report: Three countries hinder the growth of Asian demand for oil

    12:10 - 06/24/2017

A report by the agency "Reuters", China, India and Japan countries hinder slowing demand growth in key Asian markets oil importer efforts aimed at restoring market balance.

And curb the glut of fuel in China, and the effects of the cancellation of the remaining banknotes with large groups in India, offering the population ages and the decline in their numbers in Japan crude demand growth in three of the four largest buyers of oil in the world.

The three countries contribute up to five global oil consumption of 97 million barrels per day, and any problems in these countries will mean less growth forecasts for oil demand in Asia, which will contribute to undermining the effort led by OPEC to support prices.

Said Michael Corelli, managing director at Mirkatos Energy Adwisorz, according to Reuters, "already noticed a decline in demand from the number of no small customers in the sectors of aviation, maritime transport, roads and industry ... they actually consume less fuel than expected."

In China, competing with the United States on top of the oil importers in the world, imports in May, near the record level remain at nine million barrels per day, but it is expected that the expected decline in the refining companies adversely affect the demand for crude oil in the third quarter the year.

In India, which surpassed Japan to become the third-largest oil importer in the world last year, crude imports fell more than four percent in the period between April and May to around 4.2 million barrels per day, while consumption affected by the residual effects of a program to cancel the papers cash from large groups, which was implemented recently the country.

In the first five months of the year, we have not seen India's imports almost changed little compared with the same period last year, after an annual increase of 4.7 percent last year.

In Japan, the most advanced Asian economies, oil demand down structural passes for years because of the aging population and offers low numbers and the emergence of cars more fuel-efficient or use alternative fuels.

Japan imported in April, about 3.5 million barrels per day, down from a peak level of 5.9 million barrels per day in 2005.

With abundant supplies, the demand in Asia contributed to the volatility in the global decline in the price of Brent crude Brent 20 percent to around $ 45 a barrel in the biggest decline in the first half of any year since 1997. Finished / 25
