    Baghdad Mawazine News
An Emirati diplomat is choosing the West between Qatar and its boycotting countries, exchanging accusations between the government and the opposition in Britain over why dozens were killed in a massive fire in a residential tower and charging an imam of Moroccan origins with recruiting extremists.
"They chose, either we or Qatar: warnings from the Gulf states to their allies in the West," the Times reported.
"The Gulf countries are seriously considering forcing their allies to choose between doing business with them or Qatar if the latter rejects a series of demands made by them because of allegations of support for terrorism," the author said.
"Some countries, such as Britain, have to choose between dealing with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) or with a small country on the peninsula, not both of us," the writer quoted the UAE ambassador to Russia, Omar Seif Ghabash, as saying in an interview with the London-based newspaper.
"Britain should choose to deal commercially with people with an extremist agenda or with those who want to build a Middle East far from extremism," Ghabash said.
"The implications of this decision will be a disaster for Britain. Qatar's property in the UK is estimated at £ 40 billion, most of it in real estate, including the Tower, the tallest building in Western Europe, Of Canary Wharf ".
"Do you want country funds contaminated with blood?"
"The money that comes from Qatari investments in Britain goes directly to the hardline groups in the Middle East in Libya, Iraq and Syria," he said.
He pointed out that "forcing Qatar's trade partners to choose between the latter or the Gulf countries is one of the additional sanctions on Doha if it did not agree to the list of demands submitted to it, which included 13 items."
"We have a lot of evidence, different from what we have presented in the past," Ghabash said.
"When we escalate the situation with Qatar, we will put the evidence in the hands of the people, the Gulf states will not be able to sign any agreement with Qatar, no one will be able to take any diplomatic initiative, there will be a legal international mechanism that will cast a shadow over governments. West "
