A car bomb exploded in the liberation square of Baghdad Street in the Syrian capital Damascus on Sunday morning, killing one person and wounding two, a security source said.
The source said that "the explosion of the car bomb in Nahlawi Avenue in Tahrir Square in Damascus killed and injured a number of citizens and the destruction of dozens of cars and damage to residential buildings."
He added that the competent bodies were pursuing two car bombs on the Damascus International Airport, which exploded near the College of Hamak, injuring a number of citizens.
The source pointed out that the explosion of cars coincided with the fall of several mortar shells on the roundabout veterinary and the beginning of the airport road.
