Russian space agency plans to prepare for a trip to Mars

Russian Space Agency (Roskosmos) announced its intention to begin preparations in 2019 for a trip to Mars, calling on the US space agency [NASA] to participate in that work.
"It is at least early to say that humans will go to Mars in 2025 or 2030," he said in a statement. "Roscosmos follows the strategy of practicing techniques on the moon, including takeoff, landing, interplanetary flight, radiation protection and processes in the human body."
"It is necessary to do many things with the help of automation before humans are sent to Mars, and Roscosmos will apply this program and it will begin in 2019," the statement said.
The Russian agency welcomed the invitation of the US counterpart NASA to participate in that work, noting NASA's Director of Human Exploration and Operations said that the latter will not be able to send astronauts to Mars during the thirties of the century because of the level of funding at the moment.
