Australia announces monitoring of Chinese spy ship off its coast

    Saturday 22 July

announced that the Australian Defense Force, Saturday, monitor Chinese spy ship off the coast of the country, near the joint military exercises conducted by the US forces, New Zealand and Australia.

"The Dong Diao 815 of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy was operating off the north-east coast during the Talisman Seabar war," the force said in an official statement.

"The Chinese ship remained outside Australia's territorial waters, but it was within Australia 's exclusive economic zone in the Coral Sea," she said, noting that "the existence of the vessel did not affect maneuvering targets." Australia respects the rights of all states to exercise freedom of navigation in international waters International law ".

More than 30,000 troops from the United States, New Zealand and Australia are participating in the biennial war games.

The growing Chinese military presence, especially in the disputed South China Sea, has raised tensions with its neighbors in the region, as well as criticism from the United States and Australia.
