Baghdad operations: Karrada 100% safe

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Baghdad's chief of operations, Lieutenant General Jalil al-Rubaie, vowed on Saturday to open the Karrada district in the center of the capital and return it as before, before a terrorist bombing in July 2016 left hundreds dead and wounded.
Al-Rubaie said in a press statement: "We will open all closed roads in the Karrada area within the immediate vicinity," pointing out that "we have lifted the concrete barriers of the secondary roads and we will restore the commercial area as it was." A number of filters on the road Abu Nwas. "
It is worth mentioning that the Karrada area was hit on July 3, 2016, by a large terrorist attack near the commercial center of Hadi Center. A limited number of ports tightened inspection procedures, which made entering the area difficult to secure.
