OPEC technical committee announces meeting to discuss oil production
The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the non-OPEC Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec +) will hold meetings with a number of cartel members in Abu Dhabi on August 7-8 to discuss oil production issues and ways to increase compliance between the parties in the oil producers' Key to cutting production.
"OPEC and non-Opec technical committee have been instructed to hold a meeting with some OPEC members and some non-member countries to identify ways and means of raising compliance levels," an OPEC statement said on Saturday.
The meeting will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on August 7 and 8, 2017, and will be chaired by Kuwait and Russia, in the presence of representatives from Saudi Arabia.
"The OPEC countries and non-OPEC countries reached an agreement on November 30, Of its oil production by 1.8 million barrels per day, beginning in 2017. The
agreement was concluded until the first half of this year with the possibility of extension, and on 25 May, the agreement was extended for an additional nine months, until the end of March 2018.
