    Parliamentarians and a number of volunteers from the health authorities in charge of the security services called for activating the provisions of the law protecting doctors, in particular Article 8, which includes ensuring that the Ministry of Interior protects the medical staff in all health institutions. The head of the Committee on Health and Environment MP Qutaiba Jubouri in a press conference held in the House of Representatives with the participation of members of the Committee and the team of health and the environment and voluntary attended by "morning": "The Committee is following the subject of abuse of health personnel in their institutions in various provinces," noting that "the Committee hosted the health team And the voluntary environment, a group of young people working in the Ministry of Health and Environment and those interested in the work of the Ministry of Health, and discussed the recent targets.
    Jubouri said that "the Health Committee had earlier launched the law to protect doctors, and included sanctions for aggressors on medical personnel," and called on "Prime Minister, Haider Abadi, and officials in the security services to activate the provisions of the law to protect doctors, especially Article VIII, which provided that the Ministry of Interior With the Ministry of Health, to open police stations to protect medical personnel in all health institutions. "
    "The committee will amend the law to protect doctors to add new paragraphs to include more severe penalties for those who attack medical personnel, and the amendment will be completed in about a month."
    For his part, a member of the parliamentary health committee explained the charter of the banana that "the committee hosted a medical team volunteer from the health and the environment, in order to activate the law of protection of doctors, which began in 2016, which should be worked on and to maintain the medical staff, which is one of the most important segments of society , Which pours its work in the service of the common good. "The society should protect and maintain medical personnel, as well as the state's efforts to develop the quality of services," he added.
    For his part, the head of the health and environmental volunteer team Ali Ihsan al-Obeidi said that "the team has worked to create an interactive map to monitor violations that extend the medical, health and nursing staff."
    Al-Obeidi confirmed in his interview with Al-Sabah that "the team worked hard on a questionnaire to monitor cases of violations and record them, whether physical or verbal, against medical staff."
    The head of the team called on "the Iraqi society to protect the medical cadres, because its work is in the service of the public interest, and the dissemination of the culture of protection that stems from the failure to empty the country of these important missions," reinforcing these demands to invite "the wise reference and Iraqi tribes and security agencies and civil society organizations to protect the doctors".
    "The citizens and civil society organizations are intensifying their efforts by educating the community towards protecting medical, health and nursing staff and protecting them against the threats that are taking place," said Saad Al-Ibrahimi, Director of Media at the People's Medical Clinics.
    In a speech to Al-Sabah, Brahimi urged a "conference to adopt the declaration of innocence from anyone who harms the staff of health institutions by calling for a code of honor in the presence of tribal leaders, clerics, political
    and community figures  ."
    The media director stressed the importance of media institutions being present in the defense of the medical staff working in health institutions, stressing that "the Iraqi media contributed to the victory on the organization of a supporter of the terrorist, and today he must be present to defend these owners of abusers."
    For her part, the member of the Health and Environment Committee, Ban Dush, noted that "the committee seeks with the volunteer team, to provide protection for medical and nursing staff to maintain these competencies as important and effective human resources in Iraqi society."
    "The committee deplores the attacks on medical and health personnel, which are subject to threats that could lead to the emptying of the country from these important bodies that we need," the committee member said in a statement.
    Dush called on "citizens to join forces to protect medical personnel and not threaten the members of this group, whom they described as envoys to humanity by the Lord to help the
    citizens."
