Inflation in Russia slowed to 3.9%

The annual inflation rate slowed to 3.9% from January to July 2017 compared to the same period of 2016 when the inflation rate was 4.3%.
According to Rustat, consumer prices reached their record high in 2017 in July at 100.1% (June 2017). Since the beginning of the year, 102.4% have been recorded, while the figures for the last year were higher (starting in July 2016 was 100.5% Since the beginning of the year amounted to 103.9%).
According to Rustat, in July, consumer prices for goods and services rose by 0.5% in eight Russian regions while in other 32 fell by 0.1-1.2% due to falling food prices between 0.7-3.2%.
The World Bank predicted inflation in Russia would fall to 3.9 percent by the end of 2017 and stabilize at 4 percent in 2018 and 2019
The European Commission also predicted that the rate of inflation in Russia in 2017 by 4.4%, and next year may reach 4%.
