    Twilight News / U.S. embassy said in Iraq on Monday that Washington supports the Iraqi plan for a five-year development projects include the establishment of a cost of 357 billion dollars.

    And launched the Iraqi Ministry of Planning day of the Second National Plan for Development in Iraq for the period between 2013 and 2017 during a ceremony held at the Rashid Hotel in Baghdad under the auspices of the Minister of Planning Ali Shukri.

    The Ministry of Planning Play a pivotal role in the development of this new plan with the support of government institutions and other relevant Iraqi ministries.

    And identifies the National Development Plan in Iraq, the government's priorities in the field of development during the limited period, and outlines the path that will help Iraq achieve a more diversified economic growth.

    The U.S. embassy said in a statement received "Twilight News" It has through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the support of the Ministry of Planning for the preparation of this plan through administrative reform project "thread" of the IAEA.

    . During his speech on this occasion, congratulated the director of Mission of the U.S. Agency for International Development Mr. Thomas Stahl Government of Iraq, pointing out that the National Development Plan embodies a clear vision of how to take advantage of the large resources of Iraq in the budget and in the benefit of all Iraqis.

    The plan calls for a new national investment of nearly 357 billion dollars in development projects in all parts of Iraq, with a particular focus on the five main sectors of the energy and construction sectors, services and agriculture, education, transport and communications.

    The project interdependence of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to support the Strategic Framework Agreement signed between Iraq and the United States, through its collaboration with the Government of Iraq to assist in raising the capacity of institutions dealing with public administration and improve service delivery to citizens.

    Iraq lacks strategic plans to exploit the vast oil sale revenues for the reconstruction of dilapidated infrastructure due to long years of war and siege.

    It also said corruption is one of the main obstacles in developing strategic projects scarce availability of services to the population in addition to the absence of factors to attract private investors and secure environment.
