    The value of non-performing loans to Saudi banks at the end of the first half of the year 2017 amounted to about 18.192 billion riyals, compared with 16.034 billion riyals at the end of the same period of the previous year 2016, registering a growth rate of 13 percent and the problem of 1.1 percent of total financing.

    According to the monitoring of the report unit in the newspaper "Economic" Saudi Arabia, the ratio of the provision of Saudi banks to credit losses for non-performing loans by the end of the first half of this year about 182 per cent, compared to 178 per cent by the end of the same period of 2016.

    In terms of total provisions, Saudi banks during the first half of this year have gone by about SR 4.39 billion, including provisions for credit losses, investment allocations and provisions for the decline in intangible assets.

    The provisions for credit losses amounted to about Rls 4.49 billion, while allocations for investments resulted in banks taking provisions of Rls 111 million and provisions for impairment of intangible assets of Rls 50 million.

    Saudi Arabia's cumulative credit loss provisions for the first half of the year 2017 amounted to 33.09 billion riyals, up 16 per cent from their level in the same period of 2016, amounting to 28.59 billion riyals.
