WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Three people were shot dead on a race track in Wisconsin, but the identity of the culprit and the motive behind the attack remains unclear, US authorities said on Monday.
"The shooting took place next to the Great Lakes track at Union Grove, Wisconsin," Kenyan police chief David Beth told reporters from the crash site in Fox 6 News.
The victims are three men between the 20s and 30s who are from Illinois. Their identities have yet to be identified.
"No one has been arrested and the motivation for the attack has not been determined," the authorities said.
Several thousand were on the track at the time of the shooting and were evacuated. About 100 policemen were treated with gunfire and heard witness statements in search of evidence and assistance in the investigation.
