He said that during his tour at the Arar border crossing, he saw Iraqi pilgrims as they did not find any reception, services or interest from the Saudi side.
Al-Ani stressed that "the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has agreed to open a consulate in Najaf soon," noting that "the return of life to the border crossing Arar, the depth of the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Iraq, and the citizens of the two countries are entitled to transit visas valid through the crossing, Days of the year after it was limited to the entry of Iraqi pilgrims only.
