"We will not allow the use of the territory of Iraq to attack any country," said the chief of the armed forces, Haidar al-Abadi.
Abadi called on the tribal leaders to "remove all those who try to threaten the security of citizens, especially medical and other professionals," stressing the government's commitment to the directives of the religious authority to guarantee the rights of the martyrs.
He added that "the military units are moving towards the center of Tal Afar amid the collapse of the terrorist called."
The Prime Minister also referred to the visit of the Kurdish negotiating delegation to Baghdad, describing it as "positive".
