    Babil province council denied yesterday the issuance of any decision to prevent the return of displaced families to Jarf al-Sakhr area. He said the decision was "false."
    The council renewed its commitment to hold legal proceedings against those calling for the return of displaced persons involved in terrorist crimes.


    The Council of Babylon revealed data and documents obtained by security agencies, which prove the involvement of more than 1,000 displaced families from the people of the region with terrorist acts, including the bombing and planting of bombs and the recruitment of "suicide women."
    The UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) on Saturday called on the local government of Babil to reconsider the decision to prevent the return of displaced people to the area of ​​Jorf al-Sakhr. "The return of displaced people to their liberated areas is a fundamental right that must be respected," she said, calling it an attempt to "intimidate politicians" and discourage them from performing their duties to citizens.
    The decision of the provincial council of Babil, last week, which included prosecution of those demanding the return of displaced persons to the area of ​​Jarf al-Sakhr, north of the province, the reactions of political and popular were characterized by acceptance and rejection, and condemnation.
    "Unfortunately, during the past few days there has been a major media outcry by senior officials and members of Parliament who accused the Babylonian Council of issuing a decision to prevent the return of displaced families from Jorf al-Nasr," Babel provincial council head Raad Hamza al-Jubouri told a news conference.
    "The decision of the Council of Babylon focused on the task of the legal department to establish legal proceedings against those who demand or take a decision or the return of terrorist families to the area of ​​Jorf al-Nasr due to the recent terrorist operations that resulted in the death and injury of many citizens." He denied "the issuance of any decision to prevent displaced families from the cliff of victory to return," adding that "what was raised on the subject just false claims."
    The head of the provincial council that "more than 60% of the families of the cliff of victory returned to their areas in the garrison and Habhban and Har Hussein and lakes and others." He stressed that "the province has a lot of decisions to provide services," but added that "we are not afraid of any party and our right to protect the security of the province by all means and ways."
    Al-Jabouri called on all parties that raised the media whirlwind to give the council a signed copy of the council's resolution forbidding the return of displaced families. He pointed out that "the intelligence and national security revealed the existence of six terrorists among displaced families returned to the Lakes after the decision to allow the return in May, and found an additive to them." "The people of Al-Nasr are our sons and we must provide all services to them, but we will not allow any terrorist family to return," he said.
    For his part, Hassan Fadas, deputy chairman of the Council of Babylon, reiterated his decision to proceed with the decision of the provincial council to hold legal proceedings against those who demand the return of terrorist families to the area.
    "If the central government does not take measures against anyone who tries to return terrorism to the brink of victory, we as a local government will never be silent and we will take all legal measures against those who want to return terrorism," he said. Politics ".
