The United States Securities and Exchange Commission announced on July 25, 2017 that “Tokens” sold to investors in “Initial Coin Offerings” may be a security subject to federal security laws.  If you purchased a Token or participated in an Initial Coin Offering, you may have a claim for the return of your investment and other damages if the sale was not properly registered and conducted in accordance with federal securities laws.

It is also possible that the virtual Tokens or Initial Coin Offerings were misrepresented on the website of such entities and/or the electronic documents you received in connection with your investment.  In other words, the investment may have been misrepresented because the sale did not comply with federal securities laws, or the virtual entity that sold you the Tokens through the Initial Coin Offerings may not have and may never launch the tokens or coins it claims to have sold you.

Recent Initial Coin Offerings have raised tens, and in some cases, hundreds of millions of dollars, such as Tezos ($231,319,985), The DAO ($168,000,000), Bancor ($153,000,000) and Status ($90,000,000).
