(Baghdad: Al Furat News) Commenting on the Islamic Dawa Party on the news of the arrest of former trade minister Falah al-Sudani in Beirut through Interpol, calling for not to mix the papers.
"Some media outlets have reported that former Trade Minister Falah al-Sudani was arrested in Beirut by Interpol on charges of integrity," a spokesman for the Dawa Islamic Party's media office said in a statement received by AFP.
"The Dawa Party confirms that Falah al-Sudani broke away from the party's organization in 2000 and took office in 2006 as a representative of another bloc," he said.
He concluded, "We hope the media to be careful in transmitting the news and not to mix the papers intentionally or spontaneously."
The Commission on Integrity in the House of Representatives, earlier, that the judicial authorities sentenced in absentia to the former Minister of Commerce Abdul Falah Sudanese sentenced to seven years to convict him on corruption cases.
