The committee member Abdul Hadi al-Saadawi said in a statement singled out by (Sabah) this law of the important laws, which should proceed as soon as it took a very large part of the discussions.
He added that this law needs to consult between the political components in order to pass it in a moderate form and image, because the recent proliferation of drugs has become a serious phenomenon in society.
Al-Saadawi pointed out that the security services need a lot of effort and training in how to deal with the owners of this scourge and the traders who posed a threat to these forces in more than one confrontation because of the advanced weapons they carry, in addition to finding the facts behind this trade which started spreading in the southern and central regions Iraq and this needs to be a major development of the security services to capture these partners.
For its part, MP Manal Wahab al-Musallamawi said in a statement singled out by Al-Sabah that the drugs in Iraq are now threatening values, constants and security, describing their spread as a "plague" that kills the people, expressing concern about the increasing phenomenon of drug abuse.
Al-Musallamawi called on the concerned authorities to play an active role in eradicating the presence of these poisons in Iraq by activating the laws and benefiting from those initiated by the parliament, which were wasted by time and effort as well as sensitive and fateful to the people.
