    [ltr]A statement by the U.S. Embassy received by IraqiNews.com cited “The U.S. Embassy in Iraq strongly condemns the suicide attack targeting mourners at a funeral tent in Baghdad on September 21, which killed over 70 people and injured dozens of others, among them women and children. The U.S. Embassy extends its most sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this cowardly attack. The United States will continue to support the Government and the people of Iraq in combating the common enemy of terrorism.”[/ltr]
