    [ltr]Follow up of Mawazine News[/ltr]
[ltr]Human Rights Watch accused the Saudi-led coalition fighting war crimes in Yemen on Tuesday, killing 39 civilians, including 26 children, in two months.[/ltr]
[ltr]"Five air strikes hit four homes and shops that were deliberately or recklessly targeted, killing civilians indiscriminately in violation of the laws of war," the rights group said.[/ltr]
[ltr]The coalition has repeatedly denied allegations of war crimes and says its attacks target its rivals in Yemen's armed Houthi movement, not civilians.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The repeated promises of the Saudi-led coalition to carry out its strikes legally do not avoid Yemeni children from illegal attacks," said Sarah Leah Whitson, Middle East director at Human Rights Watch.[/ltr]
[ltr]"This highlights the need for the United Nations to immediately return the Alliance to the 'annual shame list' because of violations against children in armed conflict."[/ltr]
[ltr]On 4 August, coalition aircraft hit a house in Saada, killing nine family members, including six children aged three to 12.[/ltr]
[ltr]A coalition air strike on July 3 killed eight members of one family in Taiz province, including the wife and an eight-year-old daughter.[/ltr]
[ltr]Human Rights Watch said it interviewed nine family members and witnesses of five air strikes between June 9 and August 4 and did not monitor any possible military targets near the sites.[/ltr]
[ltr]The organization called on the UN Security Council to open an international investigation into the abuses at the September meeting.[/ltr]
[ltr]The United Nations said on Monday it had verified the deaths of 5,144 civilians in the war in Yemen, most of them in air strikes by the Saudi-led coalition, adding that there was an urgent need for an international investigation.[/ltr]
