described Iran's Supreme Leader of the Republic, Ali Khamenei, Thursday 's speech by US President Donald Trump against Tehran from the rostrum of the United Nations as "cowboys and gangsters" speech.
"The language of cowboys and gangsters," which Trump was accused of using, "was not the result of his courage, but of emotion, failure and shortsightedness," said Khamenei, according to his website.
"What the president of the United States said does not honor the American nation, and the people of this country are ashamed to have a president like Trump on his head and for his statements," he said in a speech received by the president and members of the Leadership Experts Council, one of Iran's governing bodies.
Trump attacked Iran in his address to the UN General Assembly Tuesday in New York, calling it a "rogue state" and "corrupt dictatorship."
