Washington announces construction of border wall with Mexico
The US government has announced the construction of eight models of the wall on the US-Mexico border in fulfillment of US President Donald Trump's promise to campaign.
"Four models of the wall will be made of concrete and the other models will be of various materials," the US Customs and Border Protection Authority said, adding that it was putting some of these models near San Diego.
"The height and width of these models is nine meters and is expected to be completed within 30 days," she said.
Within 3 months of completion of these models, officials will have to evaluate their effectiveness and resistance to penetration by small hand tools. Cameras and sensors will be placed in the final stage of the construction of the wall.
The cost of each wall is about $ 334,000 and has been objected to, and there is no preliminary approval from Congress to ask Trump to get $ 1 billion and $ 11 million to build the wall.
