WASHINGTON (Reuters) - US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday a tax reform plan to be debated by lawmakers would include "huge" tax cuts for the middle class, an almost double standard discount and an attempt to make the tax system simple and fair.
"I look forward to working with the members of Congress gathered here today to endorse the enormous tax reform and cuts that our country desperately needs for prosperity, growth and prosperity," Trump, who attended a meeting with members of the House Tax and Budget Committee, told reporters.
He said his administration was "very disappointed" in two Republican senators who refused to support a bill to repeal and replace the current health care law.
