The Korean National Oil Company (KNPC) has made several bids for the purchase and sale of Iraqi crude from strategic oil reserves, the Reuters news agency reported, quoting three sources familiar with the oil sector.
Earlier this week, the company bought less than three million barrels of Basrah Light crude from a South Korean firm to fill strategic oil reserves.
The sources said that the Korean National Oil Company sold in a separate tender closed Friday, two million barrels of Basra crude for both Mercury and Vetol for download during the period from October to January.
The shipments were sold on condition that supplies were returned to the KOC's storage sites from August to October 2019. "
