Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Azareef arrived in Qatar on Tuesday from the Omani capital Muscat.
"Zarif's visit to Qatar, which he will visit for the first time since the outbreak of the crisis, will focus on Gulf relations and developments in Iraq and Yemen," the foreign ministry said.
The Iranian foreign minister will meet with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman al-Thani.
The visit comes after a meeting Zarif with Sultan Qaboos in the Omani capital Muscat. "
Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed Abdul Rahman al-Thani said last week that measures taken against his country had led to stronger ties with Tehran.
