    BAGHDAD - The Baghdad Operations Command announced on Wednesday the arrest of a gang of three people who rob citizens via Facebook.

    In a statement received by Sky Press, the leadership said that "the Kadhimiya Crime Control Office, with the help of a citizen, managed to arrest a blackmailing and bargaining gang through Facebook."

    "They were arrested with the criminal offense during the receipt of the amount of bargaining, after an ambush in the Kadhimiya area."

    The statement added that "they were arrested in accordance with article (433) of the Penal Code."

    The statement called for citizens to cooperate with the security forces to eliminate crime, while stressing the importance of accuracy in dealing with the owners of social networking sites.
